Although originally intended as a stand-alone marque, the Valiant was branded as a Plymouth in the US and also released as the Dodge Lancer. American Vals were available in two trim levels — the V100 and ritzier V200 — with the choice of 170ci or 225ci slant-six power. US buyers were also offered a sexy two-door sedan and a four-door wagon.
